Justin Time, age 15

Silence.
I hated silence. It would mess with you until you went insane. Meanwhile, one of my crew was having a great time playing Solitaire. Solitaire! Some times Sara could be soooo weird. We had been waiting for about an hour and a half when finally I heard the engine of the airship rumble to life. And if you think that I am in the hold of this beast... then you are right.

An old newspaper clipping

THE EARTH'S CHAMPIONS HAVE STRUCK AGAIN!

Yesterday, June 15, the M'Gigen factory was sabotaged. A crate of dynamite was hidden near the furnace under the pile of fuel, investigators say. It was thrown into the furnace where it promptly exploded.
This is the TWENTIETH factory to be hit! Officials refuse to put out further information.

As you can see, these Earth's Champions were not fond of progress. And it wasn't only factories, either. Warehouses, mansions, airships, they all fell prey to the Champions vengeance. They were the stuff of nightmares. They kept entire camps full of British soldiers awake all night. So, we, as in the Sons of Liberty, decided to stage our revolution. We were going to wait until Queen Victoria died, but this was a much better chance. But first, we needed an airship.

January 15, Year of Our Lord, 1913, cont.

The jobs done by people and animals were done by machines. The spinning jenny, the water wheel, and then the mechanical loom. These stirred up trouble and fights broke out. Mostly by weavers who were being forced out of business. It wasn't long before a steam-engine was made. Then we had horseless carriages powered by the steam engines, a clattering and clanking along the cobbled streets. It continued, until we had airships powered by steam and they floated across the oceans. Of course, not everyone like this new progress, with its dirtying of streams and air...

January 15, Year of Our Lord, 1913

I remember the good old days as if it were yesterday. I am currently sitting in the President's office waiting to be briefed for a mission to Europe. A dangerous mission, so I do believe I shall start the story that brought this about. It was in the Year 1891 that it all started.

I was seventeen at the time. It was the life. Britain ruled North America, the Chinese ruled Asia, Spain controlled South America. All was orderly, and great change was being brought about. All was orderly. Then things changed.
